Message to Fellow Shareholders - September 7, 2011

Dear Fellow Shareholders, We hope you are well and I write to let you know we have been very busy and provide a short update. You may recall, we executed our first major license with Central Garden and Pet (Symbol: CENT) this past March. Since then we have been busy working directly with a number of business units at Central Garden to identify final product designs and manufacturing protocols. We are pleased with the progress and will keep you informed as we move ahead. Remember, Central Garden is the leading seller and distributor of pet products in the USA. If our Horse Journal Product of the Year award is any indicator about how our technology performs in products that feature odor and moisture control, then we have good reason to be optimistic about the future for us in the pet industry with Central Garden and Pet. They really work! Just two months ago we shared a brief update about our selection to become a founding member of a research chair at the University of Alberta to work with a number of the top oil companies in Canada and the regional water district to solve the contaminated water issues associated with Canadian Oil Sands extraction and production. We had hoped that the details of the project would be publicized by now. However, given the critical nature of this project, it may not be surprising that a short delay became necessary. So stand by for the details about the project. They appear to be close at hand. In the mean time, please take time to read thepostings that we have made at our blog. Oil Sands is big business (1.9 million barrels of crude which produces more than 5 million barrels of contaminated water a day and its growing. We have a real opportunity to play an important role in helping solve the related water issues.
